I have recently taken up the appointment as Director at Telford – a division of Lincoln University since early 2011.

I am extending an open invitation to all motorcyclists from Otago and Southland, to visit Telford on Saturday 19thNovember 2011, at 1pm, to hear presentations on motorcycle topics.

The first presentation is about the causes of motorcycle accidents in New Zealand, and using Government data, challenges much of the current thinking around the cause of motorcycle accidents in New Zealand.

The second presentation is about the Isle of Man TT motorcycle races – and New Zealand’s involvement over the past 104 years. I attended the 100th anniversary of the IOM TT races in 2007, and made a presentation at the anniversary conference, on New Zealand’s involvement.  This presentation is updated to include what has happened since 2007, and includes a real time high speed lap, as well as historic footage, and never seen before on board footage taken from the Britten at the Isle of Man in the mid 90’s.

In recent years I have  also been involved in the ACC motorcycle levy debate.

It would be great to see as many attendees as we can get, and proceeds from a gold coin donation will go to a Telford staff member’s fund raising to attend Outward Bound in 2012.

SEE THE ATTACHED FLYER  AND FORWARD THIS EMAIL AND ATTACHMENT TO OTHER MOTORCYCLE ENTHUSIASTS IN OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND
