Greymouth Motorcycle Street Race

Sunday 23rd Oct 2016 the racing will be fast and for spectators this street circuit offers you great viewing all the way around.
There is pedestrian access right around the entire track, a distance of 1.4km, with cafes, bars and community food stalls available all day.

Labour Weekend brings the 27th running of the Greymouth Motorcycle Street Race, Sunday 23rd Oct 2016. With 8 classes of bikes racing through the central business district of Greymouth; including Post Classic, Pre '63 (the granddaddy’s of the bikes, but they can still move), Buckets of all shapes and sizes, Motards, B.E.A.R.S, Formula 1, Formula 3 and the best of the best in Formula Greymouth. Each class has 3 rounds of racing throughout the day with practise starting at 8:00am, racing from around 9:00am. Plus 3 rounds of demonstration Kart races by the local Westland Kart club – they just fly! Talk to the riders in the Coastwide Honda pit area and watch from all different angles around the course. 

In 2014 we added something new, The West Coast Bike Show which is held downtown on Saturday & Sunday in the Regent Theatre Greymouth. If you are here on Saturday take the opportunity to meet the riders and check out the wide cross section of machinery at bike check, from 1pm at Aratuna freighters yard on Gresson street.
