2013 AA Otago Tour for the Sundstrum Trophy

Saturday November 2nd

We welcome you and your crew to join us on the 60th running of this iconic motoring event!
This is what we plan:
  • Start in Dunedin at 9 am.
  • Very ‘laid back’ route, less devious ‘traps’ & no gravel roads.
  • Field tests & observation quiz en route.
  • Some very BASIC timing.
    • Mainly to keep track of competitors, although “penalties” may be applied in cases of outstanding waywardness!
  • Lunch provided at midday break, with time to look around a vintage transport museum.
  • Finish back in Dunedin, late afternoon.
  • Social get-together with meal at the Forbury Sports Bar and Restaurant.
    • Pub Meal available from about $13 per head.
  • All things going well, results will be available!
As they used to say: “A jolly fine day’s motoring!”

The Sundstrum Trophy will be awarded to the overall winner of all sections.
There are also trophies awarded for classic vehicles, navigators, time-keepers, and observers.
