My name is Steve Andrews from Black Dog Ride, an organisation which runs national group motorcycle rides to raise community awareness of depression and suicide prevention. Depression is an illness which affects 1 in 5 people and it’s a rather shocking fact that more people die from suicide each year than are tragically killed on the roads. We invite you and your members to join us and fellow riders from all over the country on the inaugural Black Dog Ride NZ which takes place on April 14 this year. This link takes you to a flyer which contains details of the Ride. As well as raising awareness, our Ride raises funds for Lifeline which is a community organisation providing free phone and email counselling services 24/7. We hope you and your members will join us on our Black Dog Ride which is a great way to combine the fun of riding with the knowledge that you are making a difference by being part of the solution.
